An eight-week summer course in Zambia, this course is an intensive health policy research experience. Students work collaboratively with a Cornell peer to complete and present a research project on various topics. The course also includes: a family homestay, clinical shadowing and observation, facilitated critical reflection, and Peace Corp visit.

Outcomes
  • Describe a public health issue through engagement in practice, policy, or research.
  • Examine and explain the key characteristics and interests of their host organization, hospital, institution, or research project, and how they relate to public health issue they have described and analyzed.
