Course Description
Course information provided by the 2024-2025 Catalog. Courses of Study 2024-2025 is scheduled to publish mid-June.
This course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of canoeing in a relaxed environment. Appreciate being outside for class as you explore Beebe Lake and other Finger Lakes area waterways. Meet new friends, learn new skills, and experience nature all while you keep active.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: recreational swimmer.
Fees Course fee: $215 for instruction/travel. All paddling equipment is included in the course fee.
Last 4 Terms Offered (None)
When Offered Fall, Spring.
Satisfies Requirement Satisfies one PE requirement if taken as PE. First class is required, students can miss one class and still receive PE credit.

Instruction Mode: In Person
Course fee: $215. Fee waived if students still need PE credit to graduate (Students will first be billed the course fee, after passing and completing the course they will then be reimbursed the course fee. You must fulfill those requirements in order to receive the reimbursement.) Classes will take place either on Beebee Lake, on Campus, or on other Fingerlakes area waterways.
Drop Deadline: Monday, January 22, 2024. Students will be responsible for the course fee and assessed a $50 late drop fee if they do not drop by the deadline. For policies pertaining to Cornell Outdoor Education courses, please visit https://scl.cornell.edu/coe/pe-courses/enrollment-policies.
