Recreational Biking is for those who want to explore this gorgeous area by bike. Roads and bike paths will lead you right from campus to waterfalls, scenic views and ice cream! In addition to rides of 8-15 miles each day, you'll learn how to take care of your bike and do some basic repairs. Rides will not be fast paced, but Ithaca has lots of hills so reasonable physical fitness and the ability to comfortably ride a bike are essential.


Fees Course fee: $215 for instruction. If a student needs to rent a bike, there is a one-time $60 rental fee due the first day of class that covers the rental for the entire semester.

Satisfies Requirement Satisfies one PE requirement if taken as PE. First class is required, students can miss one class only and still receive PE credit. 

Comments Prerequisite: Ability to comfortably ride a bike.

    Drop Deadline: Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Students will be responsible for the course fee and assessed a $50 late drop fee if they do not drop by the deadline.
