Course Description
Course information provided by the 2024-2025 Catalog. Courses of Study 2024-2025 is scheduled to publish mid-June.
This intensive weekend-long course pushes the boundaries of current design practices by developing a concept plan for an innovative environment in a nontraditional setting. Students work in multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions and prepare design presentations for review by visiting design professionals. Typologies include: restaurants, pop-up venues, and user experience phenomena.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: minimum of three design studios or permission of instructor.
Permission Note Enrollment preference given to: DEA seniors but hospitality, architecture, engineering, and non-DEA students are encouraged to enroll. Preference given to seniors.

- Apply key issues related to progressive environments (comprehend disciplines and fields).

Comments Occurs one weekend during the beginning of spring semester. Enrollment based on those who can commit to full participation throughout the entire weekend: Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday until 5:00 pm.
