Private equity funds, hedge funds and other alternative investments are a significant segment of investment activity worldwide. This course introduces private equity and hedge funds, their respective historical background, structure and business and regulatory considerations. Students will learn the basic framework applicable to the structuring and ongoing matters relating to funds and fund managers.
