Course Description

The course emphasizes the important classes of organic compounds, with particular emphasis on their three-dimensional structures, mechanisms of their characteristic reactions, their synthesis, methods for their identification, and their applications in modern technology and medicine.
When Offered Spring, Summer.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: CHEM 3570 or permission of instructor. Recommended corequisite: CHEM 2510.
Forbidden Overlaps Forbidden Overlap: due to an overlap in content, students will not receive credit for both CHEM 3580 and CHEM 3600.
