Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2018-2019.
This is an advanced course in the application of the systems engineering process to the architecture design and operation of complex systems. Topics include techniques for design, simulation, optimization, and control of complex systems. Case studies and system simulations in diverse areas provide context for the application of these techniques.
When Offered Spring.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: MAE 5910, CEE 5240, ECE 5120, ORIE 5140, SYSEN 5100 or SYSEN 5110, or permission of instructor.
Satisfies Requirement Core course for Systems Engineering majors.
Comments Students majoring in Systems Engineering enroll in SYSEN 5200. Students taking the minor in Systems Engineering enroll in MAE 5920, CEE 5252, ECE 5130, or ORIE 5142. Students in distance learning programs enroll in SYSEN 5210. Course is identical for all versions.
