Course Description

Accounting and finance are inextricably intertwined. For example, key roles for corporate financial reporting include assisting firms in raising debt and equity capital, improving the efficiency of the capital markets, and facilitating the effective monitoring of corporate managers' investing and financing decisions. This seminar provides a rigorous and integrative exposure to research that addresses economic issues of interest to both the accounting and finance research communities.

Grad Students ONLY. Non-Johnson Students ONLY: Add/Drop dates: January 16th at 8:00am through February 7th at 4:00pm or prior to first class if class is held before these dates. Students may attend first class, but must drop BEFORE the 2nd class meeting to avoid penalties. Send email to gm-registrar@cornell.edu before the 2nd meeting date to request the drop.
