One critical factor in securing employment in the design field and design-related industries is the presentation of work in the form of a strong visual portfolio. This seven-week course exposes Design and Environmental Analysis DEA students to a formalized approach for personal marketing. Students will be introduced to types of portfolio, preparation steps, and methods for documenting process. Students will see a variety of examples of portfolios ranging from consulting portfolios to interior design portfolio, to research project based work. Students will hear insight from design professionals about what they look for in portfolios and printed communication.
