Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2014-2015.
Module of HORT 4920/LA 4920 covering the identification of approximately 160 evergreen trees and shrubs and deciduous plants using winter identification. Students also assist in the establishment of a new landscape on campus.
When Offered Spring.
Permission Note Limited enrollment.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: passing grade in HORT 3910 or HORT 4910, or permission of instructor.
Outcomes
- Students will develop observation techniques, practice nomenclature and recognize plant characteristics necessary for the identification of evergreen and deciduous plants in winter.
- Students will learn how to use these plants in the landscape.
Regular Academic Session. Choose one lecture and one laboratory.
