Aspects of Modern Japanese Thought

In this seminar, limited to graduate students with good reading knowledge of Japanese, we will read, discuss, and translate selections from modern Japanese thought, drawn from the period between the Meiji Restoration and the early years after World War II. Along the way, we will attempt to improve our translation skills.
