Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2014-2015.
In the 1950s and 1960s, social scientists devised a set of theories to diagnose underdevelopment in the Third World and prescribe a universal path to modernization for underdeveloped people, communities, and nations. Looking at case studies such as the Green Revolution, the 1960s Peace Corps, and microcredit, this course explores the rise of modernization and development in the post-World War II world.
