Introduction to Sea Kayaking

Course information provided by the 2026-2027 Catalog.

Learn the basics to get you started with sea kayaking out on the lake. This course covers information about equipment, loading, launching and landing your kayak, exiting and re-entering your kayak in open water, and basic paddling stroke technique. Practice these skills at some great local paddling destinations around the Ithaca area.

    Drop Deadline: Monday, August 24, 2026. Students will be responsible for the course fee and assessed a $50 late drop fee if they do not drop by the deadline.
