International Finance Cases

International finance is different because of two issues, exchange rate volatility and barriers to the flow of capital. Furthermore, political risk is heightened when money crosses borders, and governance, disclosure, law, and regulation are more varied than in a single-country context. The purpose of this course is to practice applying the ideas and methods of finance to cross-border problems. The course is centered on seven cases including discussions of related research and other materials. An introductory Managerial Finance class is a pre-requisite. (MHA-EL)


Prerequisites NCC 5060 or equivalent.
