The laboratory component of the course builds on the Core Clinical Skills taught in previous sections of block VII. Communication Exercises are a significant component of the course. In these small group exercises, students use core communication skills taught in a previous section of block VII to work through case scenarios with faculty and simulated clients. An introduction to nutrition is provided via lectures on energetics, vitamins and minerals, pet food labels, feeds, and feeding practices.


Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: VTMED 5703.
