Advanced Modern Tibetan I

Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2024-2025. Courses of Study 2024-2025 is scheduled to publish mid-June.

For those whose knowledge is equivalent to a student who has completed the second-year course. The course develops students' reading comprehension skills through reading selected modern Tibetan literature. Tibetan is used as the medium of instruction and interaction to develop oral fluency and proficiency.

When Offered Fall.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: TIBET 2212 or equivalent.

Language Requirement Satisfies Option 1.

Comments This course is part of the Shared Course Initiative and will be taught from Columbia University using videoconferencing technology.
