Graduate Research in Plant Biology

Course Description

Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2024-2025. Courses of Study 2024-2025 is scheduled to publish mid-June.

After the first year, students present one seminar per year on their thesis research and then meet with their thesis committee members for evaluation. First-year students only attend the seminar series; they do not present. Second-year students give a 25-minute seminar, while students in their third and higher years present a 50-minute seminar.

When Offered Fall or Spring.

Permission Note Requirement for and limited to: all graduate students in the field of Plant Biology.

• Describe their personal research as a coherent story.
• Engage an audience as part of a graduate symposium.
• Employ different strategies and approaches in presenting scientific content to academic audiences.
