PE 1646
Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2024-2025. Courses of Study 2024-2025 is scheduled to publish mid-June.
Refine your climbing skills and get individual coaching to build your techniques on various terrain, learn how to stand on and grip more advanced holds, and expand your climbing repertoire as you piece moves together to work through tricky sequences. This course is designed for those with exposure to rock climbing basics and belay experience.This class does NOT cover the skills necessary for lead climbing. You may consider the Sport Lead Class or a Learn to Lead Lesson.
When Offered Fall, Spring.
Fees Course fee: $325 for instruction. Fee includes climbing pass and free gear rentals for the semester, which begins on the first day of class.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: basic Rock Climbing or equivalent personal experience and previous Top Rope Belay Certification at the Lindseth Climbing Center.
Satisfies Requirement Satisfies one PE requirement if taken as PE. First two classes are required, students may miss one class and still receive PE credit.

The class will take place at the Lindseth Climbing center located in Bartels Hall.
Drop Deadline: Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Students will be responsible for the course fee and assessed a $50 late drop fee if they do not drop by the deadline.
