Introduction to Programming for Meteorology and Climate Science

Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2024-2025. Courses of Study 2024-2025 is scheduled to publish mid-June.

Introduction to Python programming and visualization specifically tailored to applications in meteorology and climate science. Topics include: basic Python programming, data manipulation, and instruction in the use of scientific analysis and visualization packages such as numpy, pandas, xarray, cartopy, and metpy.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: EAS 1310 and MATH 1110, or equivalent.

Comments No prior programming knowledge required.
