Course Description

This course is designed to deepen your problem solving, critical thinking, and business acumen by exploring a range of high-stakes business scenarios, engaging with industry professionals, and conducting original research. In addition, this course will sharpen your ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. Although the mindsets, behaviors, and skills taught in this course are useful in a range of contexts, this course will be particularly useful if you are entering a career in management consulting, corporate strategy, general management, marketing, or private equity.

Outcomes
- Investigate a problem facing an organization by recognizing the problem, describing the impact on the business, and diagnosing the sub-issues contributing to the challenge.
- Select and apply a range of qualitative and quantitative analytical tools to formulate and evaluate strategic options.
- Synthesize insights from research and analyses to recommend a resolution to an ongoing business challenge.
- Argue in favor of your ideas, both verbally and in writing, and do so with increased effectiveness, confidence, and humility.
- Describe an important event or organization in business history, identify key actions taken (or not taken) by management, and articulate lessons learned for future decision-makers.
