Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2023-2024. Courses of Study 2023-2024 is scheduled to publish mid-June.
This is a practical winemaking course, planned to increase depth of knowledge about both viticulture and winemaking principles & practices as students learn about them in the Grapes to Wines lecture course. Students practice winemaking and quality management techniques, from monitoring ripening of grapes through cold stability, and observe wine industry practices on numerous field trips. Mandatory weekend trip to Long Island wine region.

Permission Note Intended for: graduate students.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Corequisite: VIEN 5204.
Comments This course receives more credit than typical for the meeting pattern due to substantial academic activity outside of indtructional hours and requires attendance at field/outreach events not held during course lecture time.
