Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2023-2024. Courses of Study 2023-2024 is scheduled to publish mid-June.
This course introduces students to the rich array of resources, curricular and co-curricular offerings for students in Human Ecology. All majors in Human Ecology are welcome. The class readings, discussions, activities, and invited guests will introduce students to resources and opportunities for research, internships, and study abroad as well as community-engaged learning. In addition, the course outlines strategies for a successful academic trajectory and creates opportunities for students to forge connections with peers in their major as well as across majors in the College of Human Ecology.

Outcomes
- Understand the mission and learning outcomes of the College of Human Ecology and the majors in the College.
- Be familiar with resources that support academic success and allow exploration of co-curricular experiences, such as study abroad, internships, community-engaged learning, and research, and how to locate these resources.
- Draft a tentative four-year plan including course planning and strategy for including desired experiences potentially including research, study abroad, internships, competitions, community-engaged learning, and other growth experiences.
