Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2023-2024. Courses of Study 2023-2024 is scheduled to publish mid-June.
Provides an introduction to statistical inference and to principles of probability. It includes descriptive statistics, principles of probability, discrete and continuous distributions, and hypothesis testing (of sample means, proportions, variance). Regression analysis and correlation are introduced.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: MATH 1110 - MATH 1120 and ECON 1110 or ECON 1120.
Forbidden Overlaps Forbidden Overlap: due to an overlap in content, students will receive credit for only one course in the following group: BTRY 3080, ECON 3110, ECON 3130, ILRST 3080, ILRST 3110, MATH 4710, MATH 4720, STSCI 3080, STSCI 3110.
