Mountain Biking is for those who want to learn the skills to ride a bike on single track trails. Skills on the bike include body position, braking, shifting, descending, climbing and navigating natural terrain such as rocks, roots and logs. You will also learn to complete a bike safety check, change a flat tire and navigate on the trails. Don't have a bike? Don't fret! COE can lend you a bike during class days for an additional $60 fee. 

When Offered Fall, Spring.

Fees Course fee: $270 for instruction; $60 bike rental (if needed).

    Drop deadline: September 2nd; Course Fee: $270; Bikes are available for $60 rental fee. Prerequisites: Ability to comfortably ride a bike. Mountain Biking is geared towards beginning mountain bikers, but it takes place on narrow, uneven trails and basic bike handling skills are a must. The first class meeting will meet briefly on campus in Bartels Hall, room B01. Other classes will first meet at Bartels Hall and then travel to other areas around Ithaca, NY.
