This course is designed to develop your writing skills in the context of practical business applications. It begins with a strategic perspective on business writing and focuses on the elements that make your writing clear, concise, efficient, and effective.  You will improve the clarity, content, structure, and visual design of your management writing, as well as increase your confidence in your communication skills. The course is suitable for students for whom English is their native language, as well as students for whom English may be a second or third language.

Add/Drop Dates: August 15th at 9:00am thru September 6th at 11:59pm with an additional Add/Drop period beginning October 12th at 8:00am thru October 19th at 11:59pm. After October 19th permission of the instructor is required to add/drop and a late fee of $100.00 will be charged. If you are dropping after November 9th you will also receive a "W" on your transcript in addition to the late fees. Non-Johnson students must see their college registrar regarding policies connected with adding/dropping a second half Johnson School class. A petition may be required. There will be no enrollment from a wait list into a class if you have a time conflict or will put you over your maximum allowed credits.
