Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2017-2018.
Third party professionals adopt many different approaches when they intervene in conflict. Mediation is one well-known approach to conflict intervention and can be conducted very differently, depending on a practitioner's orientation. This skill-based course focuses on one ideological orientation to mediation practice, commonly called transformative mediation. Based in a relational worldview paradigm, transformative mediation has been adopted over the past twenty years in a wide range of conflict intervention settings, including organizational, court, community, workplace, and governmental.
