Course Description
Course information provided by the Courses of Study 2015-2016.
Designed to help guide students through the development of their honors thesis. The objective of the course is to help students frame a research question that is appropriate for an honors thesis, identify an appropriate methodology to use in answering this question, identify data that can be used to answer this question, and identify literature appropriate to this question. Students also work collaboratively in critiquing research questions and techniques to be used. Students meet in a seminar-style class each week and also meet with the students individually and with their research mentor throughout the semester as they work on their thesis question and methods. Students who wish to participate in the PAM Honors Program must enroll in this course during their senior year. Students must receive a grade of B or better to continue in the Honors Program.

Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: PAM 2100, PAM 3120, and PAM 3100.
Course Attribute (CU-UGR)
- To develop a level of competency in statistical skills sufficient for descriptive and multivariate analysis.
- To develop competency in library search skills using citation documentation software.
- To develop research poster preparation and presentation skills.
- To develop skills in delivering a research seminar.
- To develop a level of competency in writing a research report with clarity, accuracy, succinctness, and completeness.
