This course prepares students for a faculty-led winter-study course, PLSCI 6401, sponsored by the School of Integrative Plant Science, for boots-on-the-ground experience in South American vineyards. Upon completion of the fall course, students will enroll in PLSCI 6401 and in January 2024 travel to Chile to interact with those growing grapes, making wine and developing crucial solutions to climate change challenges. The cost of the trip will be around $2700 or less, including airfare. Some financial aid and grants may be available.
